Oxford EDS – Ultim® Max EDS with AZtecLive
The Oxford Ultim® Max EDS series from Oxford Instruments is available in 40, 65, 100 or 170mm² detector sizes for the CX-200plus Full-Size SEM utilizing Oxford’s renowned AZtecLive software platform for simple or advanced Elemental Micro-Analysis. The more affordable AZtecOne software platform designed for novice user or basic EDS micro-analysis is also available.
Adding Oxford EDS to your SEM turns it into a very powerful analytical tool allowing a multitude of capabilities using advanced micro-analysis features for elemental analysis. The Oxford Ultim® Max EDS detectors provide very high speed analysis with large SDD and high speed post processing technology. Take advantage of Oxford’s new AZtecLive for dynamic real-time chemical imaging.
With the full AZtecLive software platform comes the ability to add Oxford’s advanced capabilities that allow the SEM to perform analytical testing for any of the following:
- Automated Feature/Particle Analysis
- AutoPhase Mapping and Large Area EDS Mapping
- Metal Inclusion Analysis (Steel Cleanliness – ASTM E1245/E2142/E45)
- Mineral Phase Analysis, Mineral Liberation, Modal Mineralogy, Petrography
- Gun Shot Residue – GSR (ASTM E1588)
- General Particle Analysis for Cleanliness (ISO 16431/18413, IEST 1246D)
- Wear Particle Analysis (ARP 598c, ASTM D7416, ASTM F311/F312, ISO 16232-8, ISO 4407)
- Environmental Particles on Filters or Wipes (ASTM D6059, ASTM E2090, ISO 14966)
- Particulate Contamination in Injections and Parenteral Infusions (USP 788)
The Oxford AZTecLive software offers several optional dedicated analysis modules to make accomplishing complex analysis easy. LayerProbe is an exciting new software tool for thin film analysis in the SEM. LayerProbe is faster, more cost-effective and higher resolution than dedicated thin film measurement tools
